Telephone Aid Line Kingston (TALK) is a confidential, anonymous, non-judgmental, volunteer-based listening service for people in the Kingston-area community.

What to expect when you call or text
- You’ll speak with a trained volunteer who listens and provides support (TALK notes volunteers do not give advice).
- If you call outside operating hours and you are in crisis, TALK directs callers to the AMHS-KFLA 24-hour crisis line: 613-544-4229.
Privacy and safety approach
TALK describes the service as confidential and anonymous, and also notes limits to anonymity and confidentiality (for example, where there is a duty to report concerns about a child in need of protection, or when there is risk of harm to self or others).
