What to expect when you call or text
Distress Line
A responder can provide emotional support, crisis intervention, suicide risk support, and referrals to community resources.
Crisis Line
A responder will assess and support your situation and, if needed (and with consent), connect you to the local Crisis Team.
Privacy and safety approach
The Crisis Line states that calls are confidential. The Crisis Line and Distress Line are not emergency services—if there is an immediate, life-threatening emergency, call 911.
