About

North East Outreach & Support Services (NEOSS) provides a 24‑hour crisis line, emergency shelter, outreach and advocacy for individuals experiencing family violence, sexual assault, human trafficking or other crises in north‑east Saskatchewan. NEOSS works under the values of Healing, Empowerment, Advocacy, Respect and Transparency (HEART) to support individuals and families.

Coverage

Communities across north‑east Saskatchewan, including Melfort, Nipawin and surrounding rural areas.

Who it’s for

  • People experiencing family or interpersonal violence, sexual assault, abuse, stalking or other urgent crises.
  • Survivors of human trafficking needing support or shelter.
  • Individuals needing safety planning, emergency shelter or advocacy.

Hours

  • Crisis line & shelter: 24/7/365.
  • Admin/Outreach offices: Monday–Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (closed weekends and statutory holidays).

Languages

  • English (staff may arrange interpreter services if needed).

What to expect when you call

When you call the 24‑hour crisis line, a trained worker will provide emotional support, safety planning, information about emergency shelter and referrals to community services. Outreach workers can assist with counselling, court accompaniment and advocacy. All services are confidential and free of charge.
