A 24/7 crisis line (also known as the Mental Health Mobile Crisis Team) offering immediate telephone support for people of any age experiencing a mental health or addictions crisis/distress, or for anyone concerned about someone else.
Coverage
- Phone support: Nova Scotia-wide
- In-person crisis support: Mobile in-person response is limited to most communities in Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) (see Hours)

- Family, friends, and others concerned about someone’s safety or wellbeing

- Telephone support: 24/7/365
- In-person support (HRM only): daily 1:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.
What to expect when you call
- You’ll speak with experienced mental health professionals who can listen, offer support, and help figure out what would be helpful next.
- If needed, the service may refer you to community resources, recommend going to an emergency department, or (in HRM) dispatch a mobile in-person crisis team during in-person hours.
- If there’s no answer, you can leave a message and calls are returned within 30 minutes.
